Hey folks!! Been meaning to type up a new blog post for a while now, but uh, well, the holidays.

Here's the really big news, which most readers are probably already aware of by now: I finally left my dayjob last month when we sold it! This had been on the cards for a long time now, and was supposed to have happened back in September, but we kept getting hit with delays until just days before Thanksgiving.

Since then, I've been slowly working out what all I need to do in order to get off the ground and really start making a living as an artist. It's been slow, clumsy, and inconsistent so far, but again, holidays and other stuff keeps happening and I'm still struggling to get a decent routine or workflow going because of it. We'll get there though, I think. I hope. I've got money saved up so I'll be alright financially, I can take my time and make sure I'm not rushing into anything, but I'm excited for next year.

Here's the part where I try to encourage you once again to subscribe to my Patreon. Almost everything I make goes up there first, especially figure drawing, and I still plan on launching an exclusive webcomic there next year too! It's a nice, affordable way to support me and what I do, and I would very much appreciate it!

As you have probably already noticed, I changed the name and banner for the website! Something I've been meaning to do for a while now! Hope you like it. It's a little more consistent now with my social media presence, though animatedtrigger.com still redirects here since it's on all of my books. I've got new business cards AND postcards too, ready to start going out next year!

Here's a little design thing I did for myself: a bluray sleeve for my Criterion Godzilla boxset! The glue in the original packaging was coming undone, putting the discs at risk so I had to buy a new case, and this is its cover! Yeah, I colored my charcoal drawing from last month. Looks good, right?

You'll notice on the sidebar to the right that I now have an Etsy shop. Right now, the first volume of Slimepunk is the only thing available on there, but in the next week or two I'll be getting my other books, prints, stickers, and buttons up on there too! Keep an eye on it!

Additionally, I now have an author's page on Amazon, with Kindle versions of Slimepunk, Other Sleep, and some minicomics all available to purchase! If you've read any of them before already, please consider rating and/or reviewing them as well? That'll help them get more attention!

Here's a cool thing I got to do this month: a member of my figure drawing group who teaches classes at Night Owl Circus Arts in Johnson City hosted a drawing session there with a few other instructors modeling for us! They did a lot of really cool, dynamic, short poses hanging from different aerial rigs, which was an amazing challenge. I took an easel, drawing pad, and charcoal with me so I worked large like that the entire time.

If you haven't noticed, I uh, have been really getting back into charcoal lately.

This one is from our online poses, which are still going pretty well!

Ah crap, I just realized I haven't changed or fixed up the commissions page on this site, but I should let you know all the same that I AM open for commissions! Prices are a little higher than what's up there right now, but I've posted about them here and there on social media and you are welcome to contact me to work something out. HIRE ME PLEASE.

Alright, I think that's all for now. See you next year!
