Shorter, colder days

Just woke up from a nap and I'm a little bit flumoxed, so give me a moment. My last blog post was in September, yeah? Yeah. Okay. So I guess I've gotta talk about October.

I'll just be up front with you: I spent all of October pretty well depressed and I feel like I didn't do much of anything. Which isn't true!

I set up for three events last month, for three Saturdays in a row. The two big ones were the first annual Bristol in Bloom Art Festival, which was a joy to be a part of, and the return of the Frag-O-Ween Shock-O-Rama Art Party, which made me so damn happy. They were spikes of joy for sure.

On top of that, I signed on to model for some figure drawing classes being taught at the William King Museum of Art, which is kind of a dream come true and a very different vibe from my own little group.

So...WHY was I miserable the whole time? Because I was still stuck at my day job during all of this, and well, as of writing this, still am, though hopefully that will end this month? It's like being in limbo. Things are just dragging on and we're all sick of it, but it should be over soon, hopefully. I'm eager to pursue art full time.

Oh, and it's cold and it gets dark so early now, and...yeah.

November has been better though! I of course had to celebrate Godzilla's 67th birthday on the 3rd, and decided to break out the charcoal this time:I haven't modeled for that figure drawing class this month yet, but I attended last week's class and plan to attend this week's as well for the extra practice. I exclusively used charcoal last week too, and you can see the drawings from that over on my Patreon.

Also, I'm once more doing a thing I did last year that I called Nude November, which entails taking and posting daily nude self portraits over on my two NSFW accounts, with some choice ones getting posted on Patreon too. I'm sure you can find those if you want to.

Speaking of nudes, this Saturday I'll be hosting my figure drawing group once again! It'll be the second time I've managed to host this year, and I'm so excited that I made stickers for everyone! I'm going to be making barbecue weenies too, haha. I've also been tasked with making a playlist for a December figure drawing event that's going to be held at the studio where I've been taking my dance classes!

Man, I love figure drawing.

Online poses are still going too. Here's my fiancee in a Stitch onesie being a cryptid, which was this week's pose:

The only other show I have lined up is the Timber Nocturnal Art Market in Johnson City on December 12th. I'm planning on having new buttons and stickers for that one!

That's it I guess. I think things will really start moving again once I'm finally done with my job, so hopefully I'll have at least another blog post for y'all before 2022!
