Marchpunk?

Hey everyone! We're now a few days into March, and a few days out of the Pouncepunk challenge. It was a pretty big success, I'd say, with the #pouncepunk22 hashtag on Instagram having well over 1000 posts! We had a whole slew of artists, friends and strangers alike, participate alongside us, and it was so cool seeing new work from them every day!

You can see all of mine in the portfolio here, but here are a few later favorites I did:

Amidst February's push to get all of these pieces done before deadline, some other stuff happened. Last week, two different shows, in two different galleries in Abingdon, opened. First and foremost is Humor Me: the Art of Laughter at the William King Museum of Art, for which my original Cosmic Adventures of Slimepunk comic is on display!
This show will be up through July 3rd and is packed with strange and wonderful art, Slimepunk is in good company!

Additionally, I have this painting on display at the Abingdon Arts Depot as a part of their Animal Magnetism group show, called the Zone's New Guide:
Two VERY different works in two VERY different shows. I can imagine some strangers seeing both and coming out confused, haha.

Additionally, I've kept up the side gig of modeling for art classes at ETSU, and shifted from figure drawing to a painting class this week and next, plus I modeled again for figure drawing at the William King Museum's Art Lab. Still not making much money, so here's where I once more implore you to subscribe to my Patreon, buy something from my Etsy, or just throw a few bucks my way on Ko-fi, all of which are linked in the sidebar on the right. Or better yet, commission me!

So, anyways...what's next?

Work continues to some degree on the new Patreon exclusive comic I want to do. The Pouncepunk piece for Angel is a bit of a teaser, but here's another image I made up for it:

I admit I haven't started on any pages yet, but SOON.

Additionally, there's been some talk about a Pouncepunk show next month, and I've got a solo show in May that I've gotta start thinking about too.

OH, and my first show of the year is next month! I'll be at ETSUcon's return, April 2nd and 3rd! And I'm also confirmed for the Wytheville UFO Fest on June 11th!

Figure drawing continues. One of our members hosted last month, and I'll be hosting again next weekend. Here's an online pose I just finished up today:
I added the beetle myself, because, well, after ETSUcon, I'll be dancing in a bug-themed show at Night Owl Circus Arts in Johnson City on April 8th and 9th! We're doing a weird beetle type dance and I'm pretty pumped for it.

...I think that's it right now. Still waiting to find out whether or not I made it into the Artstruck Festival later in April in Johnson City, and I need to start hunting for more shows to do as well, along with other work. This whole not making much money thing kinda sucks, you know?

Anyways. Take care, see you next time!
